How does the circumference of two circles compare if the diameter of one is twice the diameter of the other? Give an example to explain your reasoning.

    If the diameter of one is larger or greater than the other one then the circumference of the larger one is bigger than the other circle. Example: If the diameter of one circle is 2ft and the other one is 4ft. You multiply 3.14 by 2ft you get 6.28ft. When you multiply 3.14 by 4ft you get 12.56. The difference is one is greater than the other one.

  2. it is almost the same as raidus it is the half one example is the if the diameter was 8 you multiply it and you get the awnser .then that would be half of an other one then that one would be twice of the other problem .number waves 19

    I think that they compare because when you multiply pie times the diameter, one of the circumferences will be twice the size of the other one. The radius of the larger one will be the diameter of the smaller one. That is how I compare them

    The first one has a diameter of 5. Then you multiply 3.14 by 5. Then the first one is going to have a circumference of 15.7. So the second circle has to have a diameter of 10. Then you multiply 10 by 3.14. So then the circumference is going to be 31.4. The difference is that the one is bigger than the other one.

    The circumferences of the two circles compares because the smaller one would be a radius of the other because its diameter is half. The circumference would be different because the smaller one would be closer to Pi because it would have a smaller circumference.

    If the diameter is one larger or greater than the other one the circumference of the larger one will be bigger than the other circles. An example is if the diameter of the circle is 6ft and the other circle is 10ftyou wikll multiply 3.14 by 6ft and get your answer. The different one is the greater one.

    If you have a bigger diameter than you will have a bigger circumference. If you have a smaller diameter than you will have a smaller circumference. For example if you have a circle with a diameter of 8ft you multiply it by pi. Then the circumference would be 25.12ft.

    I think that to compare two circumferences you must find it first, once you have it you will be able to tell that the circumference with the bigger diameter will be the bigger number. If the diameter of circle #1 is 6 cm and circle #2 is 12 cm then circle #2 is bigger because of it's diameter. This means that the circumference of circle #2 will be bigger than circle #1. To get to the circumference you must multiply the diameter by pi. So in this case you would multiply the diameter 6cm or 12cm by pi 3.141. The circumference of circle #1 would be 1.846 and 37.692 for circle #2.

    The circumference would be double that of the circle with the smaller diameter. For example, if you had a circle with a diameter of 20 inches, and another with a diameter of 40 inches, the circumference of the smaller circle would be 20x3.14, which is 62.8. The other circumference would be 40x3.14, which is 125.6. 125.6/63.8=2. Therefore, the circumference of the bigger would be half

    The circumference would be double that of the circle. For EX. if you had a circle with a diameter of 10 inches, and another circle with the diameter of 20 inches, the circumference of the the smaller circle would be 10X3.14, which is 31.4, the other formula would be 3.14X20, which is 62.8. Which means, the circumference that is bigger would be half.

    The circumference of two circles compare if the diameter of one is twice the diameter of the other by being kind like the radius. The radius is technically half of the diameter. A diameter is half a circle. Ex. If the small diameter is 3 and the bigger one is 6 than the smaller one would be half the bigger one. Get it now? :)

    Ok!If you would have 10 as your curcumference C=pi
    C=(3.14) (10)
    Multiply them
    C= 31.4 ft

    If the diameter of one circle is 4 inches and the second diameter is 8 inches. The circumference of the first circle is 12.56 inches and the circumference of the second circle is 25.12 inches.

  14. if one circle has a diameter 15 compared to a circle to a circle whith a diameter of 30 the curcomfrence will be way bigger because to find the circumfrence you multiply the diameter by Pi. C=Pi.diameter

    The circumference of two circles compare to the diameter of one that is twice the other because if the diameter of one is 3ft. and the diameter of the other is 6ft. Then you have to multiply 3.14 by 3ft. Then you get 9.42. Then you have to multiply 3.14 by 6ft. and you get 18.84. The difference of one is greater than the other.

    I think they compare because if you take the diameter of one of them and multiply it by pi (3.14) then you will have the circumference and one of the circumferences will be twice as big as the other one. Also the radius of the larger one will be the diameter of the smaller one. For example if the diameter of the larger one is 10 then it would be C=3.14D, C=(3.14)(10), C=31.4.

  17. If on of the diameters is bigger or greater than the other one than the one with the bigger diameter will have a bigger circumference. For example if you have the diameter of 6ft and the other diameter of 7 ft. you would multiply (3.14)(6)= 18.84 that will be the circumference for one of the circles. And than you multiply (3.14)(7)= 21.98 and that will be the3 answer for the other circle. The difrence of the two circles is that one of the circles is bigger than the other one.

    If one is bigger or greater then the one with the bigger circumfrence. for Example if you have a circle that is 5ft then you would have to multiply 3.14 cause pi= 3.14 and it compares cause if you have 7ft you will have to multiply 3.14
